Known for both its historical sites and modern delights – food, beaches, and culture – Akko hosts four popular annual cultural festivals. (1) The Akko Fringe Theatre Festival is a four-day performing arts festival and a symbol of Jewish-Arab coexistence. (2) The Masrahid Festival is the only Arabic theater where performances include simultaneous live translation to Hebrew. (3) The Opera Festival in Akko happens every year around late August or early September. (4) The International Zimriya Choir Festival attracts musicians from around the globe.
