A Jazzy Kiddush

This creative jazz rendition of the Ashkenazi version of the Kiddush blessing is from the “Hear O Israel: A Prayer Ceremony in Jazz” album, which combines traditional Hebrew songs and prayers with modern jazz. Produced in New York in 1986, it is sung by soprano Antonia Lavanna and performed by musicians Herbie Hancock, Thad Jones, Ron Carter, Jerome Richardson, Grady Tate, and Jonathan Klein.
